"When I first heard that our organization was going to participate in a training called “The New Accountability,”  I must admit I was skeptical.  I was thinking that this would be another training binder that would sit on my desk and not be utilized.  However, that quickly changed from the moment the training began.  The impact that it has had on me both personally and professionally has been significant.  I have been able to use the Clear Agreement form to accomplish tasks in a timely manner on the job and since it is written down it won’t be forgotten as easily.  (that which gets measured, gets done). I believe that the consistent and frequent follow-up by the training team also keeps the training in front of us.  I have been able to use it at home with my children regarding mundane daily or weekly tasks.  It reminds me of the movie Mary Poppins in which she “tricks” the children into clearing their room by making it a fun game.  She’s very clear on the task at hand.

One valuable tool that I have used from this training was the ability to approach co-workers regarding work performance or incomplete tasks that needed assistance.  I am now able to keep the focus on the Excellent Member Experience (EME for short) when I approach tasks or am handling conflict resolution.  This eliminates any possibility for hurt feelings and keeps everyone focused on the member’s needs.  I have also found the Action Items to be very useful in creating a “to-do” list and making priorities.

I’ve already seen changes in our organization, such as the forming of clear agreements and action items being reviewed at each meeting.  Meetings are more productive and are shorter in length.  Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this remarkable way to be more successful in the workplace and in my personal life."
